Meu Primeiro Eu
My First Self is a story based on the memories and heart of Zezeh Barbosa. It portrays her extremely close and educational relationship with her grandmother, a healer and central figure in the family. But it also reveals the pain of a blatant episode of racism suffered by Zezeh when she was very young at school. As one might expect, at such a crucial moment, Dona Tiola does more than console her granddaughter; she brings light and shows that love is the only way out.
